Dr. Evenson awarded grant from the National Science Foundation

July 11, 2014 - Dr. Paul Evenson has been awarded a grant from the National Science Foundation to install a neutron monitor at the Amundsen Scott Station at the South Pole.

Dr. Hadjipanayis awarded grant from the U.S. Department of Energy

July 10, 2014 - Dr. George Hadjipanayis has been awarded a grant from the U.S. Department of Energy for the "Rare Earth and Future Permanent Magnets and Their Applications Workshop (REPM2014)" which he is hosting in August.

Dr. Matthaeus awarded grant from the National Aero and Space Administration

July 9, 2014 - Dr. William Matthaeus has been awarded a grant from the National Aero and Space Administration for the study of "Cross Scale Energy Transport - from Large Scale Dynamics to Dissipation, a Grand Challenge Problem in Heliophysics". The proposal is to study a Grand Challenge program that underlies much of heliophysics - the heating of the corona, acceleration of the solar wind, and many other features of the observed heliosphere.

UD physicists awarded grant from NASA

June 12, 2014 - Prof.  Matthaeus and Prof. Shay have been awarded a $1.2 million grant from NASA to study energy transport from the sun.
