 Molecular junctions, consisting of single molecules sandwiched between two electrodes (i.e. source and drain) and acting as active circuit elements, represent a key subject in nowadays investigations of nanoscale systems. In particular, an appealing line of research is the study of nonequilibrium charge transport processes in such devices. Our method of choice for tackling charge transport is based on time-dependent (TD) nonequilibrium Green's functions (NEGF).
