The Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope has been operating more than 9 years, collecting a huge amount of data and providing us unprecedented information on many source classes, among which are the Active Galactic Nuclei. In this seminar I will review the most recent results and milestones concerning this apparently well-known source class. Although these broad-band bright objects are extensively studied across the entire electromagnetic spectrum, we still do not fully understand their intrinsic nature, and new paradigms are arising.
